5. Sustainable and environmentally friendly

Depending on what your fence is protecting, you may not have the opportunity to inspect it during your daily routine. But as with many things in life, prevention is key! It’s best to closely inspect your iron fence, from top to bottom and from one end to the other, keeping a special eye on joints and grooves. If you do this every 2 to 4 weeks, more so during periods of heavy rain, you can spot any rust spots as they crop up and immediately repair them, preventing oxidation from spreading.

The powder coated surface should be delicate, full, transparent, strong in three-dimensional sense, and can maintain relative luster for a long time. The decorative surface coating is at least 40um. The poor appearance is dim, the stereoscopic effect is poor, and after a period of time, there is light loss, powdering, paint stripping, etc. Slight orange peel on the surface of powder coated profiles is accepted. There are almost no orange peels on high-quality powder coated profiles, but the orange peel on the surface of poor powder coated profiles is obvious and serious. The reason is the use of poor quality powder coatings, or the production process and production management are not strict.

Post caps are another place where cost cuts can be made.  Lots of manufacturers will use a stamped steel standard cap which is easier to produce and squish on the top of the post.  For the more decorative ball style post caps, some will make them out of aluminum, or worse, plastic.  Our Stronghold Iron fence line uses cast iron caps for both styles that you can see in the photos below.  The cast iron gives it a nice textured and authentic appearance.
